Dr. Dew graduated from Harvard University with an A.B. in the Comparative Study of Religion in 1996, and from West Virginia University School of Medicine in 2000. She completed residencies in General Psychiatry and Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at Wake Forest University from 2000 – 2005. Dr. Dew then came to Duke as a post-doctoral fellow in Religion/Health Research while simultaneously earning a Master of Health Sciences degree through the Duke Clinical Research Training Program. She joined the faculty in 2008 as an Assistant Professor in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry. Dr. Dew is involved in clinical research through the Duke ADHD Program, maintains a private practice at the Duke Child and Family Study Center and is continuing her research in the area of religion and mental health. Her hobbies include choral music, reading, and spending time with her husband and two daughters.
